Weight Capacity of Stroller Wagons

I am mom to an 18-month-old and a 4-year-old. My 4-year old is able to survive most outings without a stroller. However, on long days or if we are out later in the day my 4-year-old will side-eye his baby brother in the stroller….and exclaim bit THAT IS MINE (the stroller was his at one point and he remembers!)

Sometimes I cave and let the 4-year-old ride in the stroller and carry the 1-year-old. I started to look into Stroller Wagons as a fun alternative to a twin stroller. Initially I was certian that max weight would be the determining factor for which stroller wagon I purchased.

The WONDERFOLD W4 Elite 4 Seater Multi-Function Quad Stroller Wagon with Adjustable Handlebar and Recline Seat (W4 Elite Charcoal Gray) has a maximum weight capacity of 300lbs. This is the highest weight capacity I have seen while researching stroller wagons and can seat up to 4 kids. Most other stroller wagons have a weight capacity between 110 and 150lbs and seat 2 kids.

Weight Capacity for Stroller Wagons

As I continued to research Stroller Wagons I realized the could be a large investment, they can cost as little as $100 to as much as $900. There are many other features to consider …push/pull , does it fold, how well does it travel, how long will it last. I also discovered some of he Stroller Wagons like the evenflo have height maximums and my four year old would be too tall for Stroller Wagons that resemble Strollers more than they resemble wagons.

If I decided to go the cheap (relatively) route I will probably get one of the radio flyer wagons. If I decided to make an investment for the long haul it will likely be the Wonderfold W4 elite stroller. With a 300lb weight capacity there is plenty of room for the kiddos to grow.

If I decide to invest in a pricier stroller wagon, I’m going to find one in store to test it out…I mean just because a Stroller Wagon can pull up to 300lbs doesn’t mean I necessarily want to haul around 300lbs. Especially if it is difficult to maneuver.

I’m going to keep an eye out on the Radio FLyer wagons for black Friday deals. I will probably test that out for a while, if I’m feeling like I need more out of a stroller wagon, then I will take the plunge for the heavy weigh wagon.
